Papa Kit's

    PAPA KIT's...

Papa Kit's is a 90 hectare land that was originally known for Kit Mendoza's fishing and lagoon business in Liloan, Cebu. The family aimed to preserve and restore the natural wealth of their father and so they expanded this property to an eco tourism attraction for all ages. So if you are a nature lover and adventurous person like me or simply someone who wants to escape from the urban life, Papa Kit's is best for you! So without a doubt, my friends and I paid a visit. It is just situated across Liloan's town church, so a simple multicab ride from Mandaue city highway to Liloan will take you there. Entrance fee is P100 only, which is consumable at their restaurant.

    FISHING

Upon entrance, the first thing that welcomes you is the fishing area which is so much inviting. They've got several ponds for bangus, tilapias and the bigger fishes too. But only few are used for fishing, the rest are for breeding I believe. And so we rented the rods and bought baits. It was our first time though so no one knew how to use it yet until one of the crews assisted and briefed us on some tips and proper ways to fish.

It's not as easy as what you think it is! We've been fishing for like couple of hours but haven't caught anything yet ‘til finally, we caught up one! Imagine us shouting and leaping for joy! Lol. I guess that's how beginners would react:) T'was really fun! A new experience I haven't done in my entire life. You can choose to have it grilled and eat at their resto or simply pay for it and bring it home. Their area manager treated us well too.

    ZIPLINING the 800meter zipline

From the entrance, you can take a horseback ride, rent a bicycle or simply trek towards the zip lining area. Unlike E.A.T Danao in Bohol, their zipline transcends from one islet to another which is also a property of Papa Kit's and you will definitely soar over water. Whooaaa!! Truly amazing and a lot more exciting than the one at Busay!

BIKING

I like the idea of biking as one of the activities but the bikes and the service itself weren't satisfactory. Sorry to tell. Although I'm not good at biking, we preferred to bike than to walk around the place. Sadly, bikes for rent were overused and we felt uneasy. One bike had a flat tire at the front, and so we asked assistance from one crew, but unfortunately he was not very helpful.  Got no choice but to continue biking and having fun! Please do provide good and new bikes next time.

BOATING

Since the pumpboat can only accommodate 5 persons at a time including the driver, we divide ourselves into two groups.  The 30-min boat ride was enough to tour around the lake and to see the beauty of nature. It's cool and refreshing especially when you see birds flying around!
