STAR CITY MANILA

The rest of the night was spent at Star City, the only major theme park in Pasay City, Metro Manila. It is exactly situated in CCP Theatre, now known as Cinemalaya theater.  It's also just a 5-10 min ride by taxi from MOA. The entrance is so much inviting especially with its colorful and well built facade.

Star City Fees are as follows:

* Entrance Fee : Php 60
* Entrance Fee + 3 Rides : Php 250
* Entrance Fee + Ride All You Can : Php 300
* Dino World – Php 100
* Snow World – Php 100
* Entrance Fee + Ride All You Can + Snow World: Php 375
* Entrance Fee + Ride All You Can + Dino Island: Php 375
* Entrance Fee + Ride All You Can + Snow World + Dino Island: Php 475

The rides and the Snow world got my interest the most so P375 fee was fair enough for me.

 SNOW WORLd

Want to feel winter in the Philippines? Snow World at Star City is best for you! It just opened a month ago (Dec. 2008) and is said to be one of the biggest snow attractions in Asia. The temperature inside is 15 degrees Celsius and so you will be provided with thick jackets.

Although I wanted to bring my cam inside, cameras were strictly prohibited not only because they have their own photographers but also due to the fact that it can moisten your cam. Worse is, it can turn your cams to ice if exposed in longer periods on the said temperature. So we followed rules, wore on the thick jackets and gloves provided, left our cams sealed with plastic covers at the booth and off we go.

Snow world features a White Christmas set up. So expect to see a Christmas tree and several other man-made ice sculptures, ice slide and a snow man. Due to it being so cold, we only stayed in there for around 5 mins. Maximum recommended time is for 15 mins only, not unless if your body is still capable of staying inside for longer periods. We tried the ice slide too. It was funny and exciting sliding together with the other kids around. Don't miss this out! It's the only Snow world in the Philippines ☻

The RIDES

While at Star city, you can enjoy several other rides, both for kiddies and adults extreme rides. I wanna try all, but due to time constraint, I was able to try 3 of their rides only. Had I known it, I should have taken the P250 ticket fee. lol.

Anyhow, Star Flyer was fun. It's actually an inverted roller coaster. Imagine that! An inverted coaster with a 1 and a half loops to be navigated in 70 secs run! Scary but fun and you can scream all the way!

Just like Star Flyer, the Roller coaster ride was breath taking. However it was kinda old and small compared with that of Enchanted Kingdom. Well, still hoping to have it renovated soon to a much bigger coaster for, of course, more excitement and thrill.

I also got thrilled at the Wild river ride.The only thing I disliked was the fact that too many guests were lining up, so it took me a long time to try it. Lol. (narrow-minded hehe).

Other interesting attractions at Star City include an indoor carnival for kids, the Dino World, (where you can see huge dinosaur statues), Horror booth, Peter Pan and Land of  the Giants, Surf Dance, and a lot more.

Anyways, although Star City is still not up par with other local theme parks, it is still good enough for local tastes. Experience it on your own! and you'll see ☻
