TAAL VOLCANO, TAGAYTAY

Funny as it may seem but yeah, it was my first time in Manila! LoL. I was with few of my best buds -- Mitch, Syn a nd Mai-  the same travel buddies actually when I went to Camiguinlast year. Anyhow, we arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via Cebu Pacific Air early morning. Took a taxicab right to Baclaran where we had to take a bus to TAGAYTAY City, one famous place for leisure and vacation getaway in Cavite. While on our way, I can already feel its cool climate and clean air. We got off the bus at the highway near the Tagaytay Rotonda and caught up a tricycle to bring us to the Picnic grove. However, the driver told us it would be better to go to the Taal Volcano crater. Otherwise, we would only be seeing the view of the volcano at the Picnic Grove.

Convinced, we agreed and packed up t
o start with our Taal Volcano escapade!

TAAL VOLCANO

The driver drove us to where we could start off renting boats for P1,500 to cross to
Taal Volcano, an active volcano found at the middle of the eminent TAAL LAKE.

We arrived at Taal Volcano in more or less 30 mins. Registration fee was P50. And you have two options to get to the crater: either to trek or to horseback ride.
We chose the latter as we find it more interesting and paid for P700 each. All of us were excited since t'was our first time horseback riding.

Lead by a tour guide, we arrived at the top view in 30 mins where you can see the crater and the view of the island and the wonderful lake.

WOW--- that was exactly the first word I uttered when I saw the crater! Couldn't believe we got there safe and sound. You see, it has never been part of our plan  but it turned out to be a great adventure unexpectedly.  Despite the heat, we were all having fun taking pictures around the place. They have souvenir shops too however kinda expensive. We actually wanted to go down near the crater itself but it was really hot and they advised better not to.

Around 2pm, we started our way back to where we started and crossed the boat again to the mainland. We still wanted to go to the Picnic grove though, but we ran out of time. We still had to head back off to Manila to catch our next itinerary--- the Mania Ocean Park  ☻ (see next blog)
