The Beach Life - BORACAY ISLAND

Day 2: Beach Time!

We dressed up with our swim wears early morning and prepared for the whole day swimming and relaxing at the Boracay White beach. Armed with sun block after breakfast, we strolled along the beach front again towards Station 1. I'm a beach lover so it was exciting.

However, the weather was frustrating. The photos I took will let you realize how cloudy it was and the beach wasn't inviting. It also rained and because of the sand that's being blown off by the wind, when it touches your skin, it kinda hurts. So advise to all, never come when it's rainy season.

I was hoping we could try parasailing but couldn't do much activities somehow due to the bad weather. Could have been more exciting if it was a hot and sunny day. You see, a beach view is always perfect when the sun is around especially during magic hours (sunrise and sunsets) where you can play with your camera and the natural lights of the sun.

Moving forward, to break the momentum, we got ourselves tattooed--a Henna tattoo, that is. You'll find numerous henna tattoo artists here and it's kinda expensive. Maybe because it's peak season.

Compared with Henna tattoos in Cebu during Sinulog which is only about P50 minimum, in Boracay, it costs around P100-200 or so. I even wanted to try hair braids. But then decided not to. Well, maybe next time =)

After which, we took pictures at the shore. We then rented a skim board and spent the day skimming. Yey! We're still lucky enough!

I have once tried it, so at least I know the basics and I am learning. Weeee! Then went back at D mall again for lunch and just strolled around back and forth and then went swimming again.

We took dinner at a certain restaurant (sorry forgot the name) which offered buffet dinner for P199 only. Then prepared ourselves again for the Boracay Night fever! (see previous blog 'bout Bora's night life)

Day 3: Farewell!

Flight was scheduled at around 12noon back to Cebu City. The whole morning was spent shopping for souvenirs. Bought "pasalubongs" for my family and few close friends too. Then I told myself I'm gonna go back to Boracay again. It has indeed much to offer! And hopefully weather is good this time,. And I'll make sure to try parasailing, ATV rides, and even the island hopping next time. See you at my next travel to Boracay!

BORACAY Night life

Party all night

We mostly spent the subsequent nights bar hopping. So if you are a party goer like us- Boracay is the best place for you!

BORACAY at NIGHT

This was actually one of the reasons why we spent vacation at Bora.
There has never been a dull moment since the island serves a varied selection of drinks, activities and parties even at night! People from everywhere pops up when the sun goes down.

Great sounds and music can also be found at Hey Jude, and Juice Bar. Check out Red Pirates,Gully's Island and Nigi Nigi as well.

Best part was spending the night with Sheesha , tequila, beer and a whole lot more!

Sand Castles

Boracay has been popularly signatured with its sand castles at night and it's definitely something to watch out for! From the name itself, it's made out of fine white sand. It's usually located at the beachfront and simply amazing! Just pick the best sand castle for you, take a picture and then contribute some cash to the makers of the castle.

BORACAY FEVER

DAY 1:

Time check: 12:30pm and our flight to Caticlan was scheduled at 1pm via SEAir.

We were still at Ayala buying food for lunch. So we had to hurry up and eat inside the taxicab. It was already the last call upon arrival at the Mactan Airport. Dashing through the entrance, we showed off the tickets at the ticket booth and immediately ran inside the plane. Whew! We just can't reschedule it, otherwise, we're gonna ruin the plan :)

By plane, it only takes about 50 mins. If you want another route, take a flight from Cebu to Iloilo -- then a bus to Caticlan for about 5 hours -- or --- take a bus from Cebu City to Toledo City - then a boat to San Carlos City -- then another bus to Bacolod City to Iloilo City and one final bus ride to Caticlan.We didn't want to consume the whole day travelling, so we preferred to travel by plane. From Caticlan, you can take a 10 minute ferry ride towards Boracay Island proper.

Time check: 2:30pm

Finally! We've reached the BORACAY island --- one of the most remarkable tropical islands in the Philippines. Tourists and even the locals would always include Boracay as one of their travel destinations especially during summer time!

Its WHITE BEACH is the famous of all. It's a 3-mile long white sandy beach and near the shorelines lie several beach resorts and hotels, shopping areas, mall, restaurants, dining areas and a lot more to choose from. The ferries actually have 3 boat stops at the White beach-- Stations 1, 2 and 3.

STATION 3:

This place is most suitable for backpackers or budget-travelers like us. Most resorts here are less expensive compared with the other 2. We stayed at the Queen's Resort For 3 days/2 nights, each paid for P3,500 only with breakfast. Well, not that expensive though especially on a peak season. We reserved two rooms, each with double occupancy.

STATION 2:

After we settled our things at the room, we walked along shoreline. From Station 1 to 2, we passed by several splendid hotels and resorts such as the Boracay Regency and .Boracay Mandarin Here are some of the front views of the said hotels respectfully:

As we strolled farther, we passed by Talipapa -- an outdoor shop where you can buy souvenirs, paintings, t-shirts, sarongs, etc. Next to it is 'D MALL --- the dining, shopping and drinking spot in the area. Since it was a hot sunny day, it was a perfect time for coolers and ice creams at Crazy Crepes. It was really a long day so we got back to the hotel to rest. Preparing for the main event--- the night life ☻(see next blog: Party all night)

STATION 1:

Most luxurous hotels are found at Station 1. It's more isolated and serene, unlike with Stations 2 and 3 which are quite crowded. This place is best for vacationers looking for peace and tranquil rexalation.
