Scattered anywhere in the archipelago-- Tagaytay, Subic, Davao, Bohol -- the famous zipline activity has finally conquered the Queen City of the South!
Located at Doce Pares Mountain in Busay, Cebu City, just across the famous TOPS mountain view, you can now experience what it is to be traversed from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable made of stainless steel, by holding on or attaching to the freely moving pulley at Busay Ziplining Center
Just this afternoon, the Gee's.YOs.Mams (which we call ourselves), met up to try their ziplining activity. You can go there by taking a habal2x (motor ride) from JY Square Mall in Lahug for P50/head/way. Entrance fee is P20 while ziplining fee is for P100.
The Busay Ziplining Center features a stunning view of the city on one side and a picturesque greenery of the mountain on the other side.
A number of hammocks are also found so you can take a rest and feel the cool breeze while waiting for your turn.
They also offer hot/coffee drinks since the temperature is kinda cold.
If you get bored, you can try to sit and relax on their swinging bamboos.
Although it's not recommended, you can try to swing it farther if you have the guts! LoL. But be careful!
Unfortunately, when it was almost our turn, it poured a heavy rain shower. Bad timing. We had to wait til it stopped. And it was already around 7pm when we started ziplining.
As to my personal experience, I wasn't that thrilled. I guess because, first and foremost, it's only few meters high, unlike with that in Danao, Bohol where it's roughly 200 meters high. Secondly, it's night time. So I didn't get to see the view around and underneath. And lastly, I was just sitting on the harness. I believe it's more adventurous to try the superman style than the sit-style.
I heard they will be opening a 400 meters high zip-line soon and hopefully the superman style will be added. More to expect in the next couple of years =) Go Cebu!
