Loboc River in Bohol has been one of the famous attractions in the province because of its day cruise. Now that the night cruise is added, it attracted more number of visitors and tourists.
We were supposed to take the night cruise on Wednesday, but Dad told us Friday was better since a concert is held. And so, we traveled from Tagbilaran City to Loboc for half an hour on Friday night with much excitement.
Upon arrival at the river cruise entrance, the astonishing scenery and the beautiful lights along the river banks captured my attention! Really, a lot has been improved.
The river has now been tagged as Nature by Day, Boulevard at night. True, indeed. If the day cruise allows you to see the beauty of the nature along the river and the "busay" falls, the night cruise paves the way of a very romantic set up as the boulevard encompasses different lights that lend a nostalgic feel. The cool and romantic atmosphere at night is an added bonus!
This is the view of the Loboc Church. See how cool the purple lighting is?While waiting for our turn for the cruise, we strolled around the place and took pictures. Other establishments are found at the place including Buzz Cafe and Island Souvenirs.
Let the cruise begin!
For only P200/head, you can sail the night away with Loboc River Night cruise. For an additional of P250/head, you can take the dinner buffet prior to the cruise.
I'm not really good at low lights photo shoot so please bear with my shots =)
Halfway to the whole trip, the crew took us to a nipa hut near the river coast where a rondalla and dance group serenaded us with songs and dances such as Tinikling.
My cousins and brother tried Tinikling, a traditional Filipino folk dance where two people hitting bamboo poles on the ground and against each other in coordination with one or more dancers who step over it. I even wanted to try it myself but too late, the song ended. Lol.
Nevertheless, I had the chance to sit and sing with them during the show. Everyone definitely enjoyed it although it was just a few minutes show. A donation box is also provided to those who want to offer some donations.
After the cruise, a mini concert was held but we didn't watch it anymore. It's actually more of a classical jazz type of music, so if it's your genre, don't miss it.
