KAWASAN FALLS

For nature lovers and group outings, Kawasan falls is a perfect getaway. We haven't had time for Moalboal which is also located at the town of Badian.  So we preferred to go directly to Kawasan. With a private vehicle, it only takes probably 2 and a half hour drive from Cebu City.

It was my first team outing at my first job, so I was very excited. From the main road, one needs to walk for about half an hour on a clear trail til you reach the 1st set of waterfalls.

While hiking, we saw this big dead lizard. It was scary as I thought it was alive.

We've finally reached the 1st set of waterfalls. It was great and lovely! It's the largest of  all three waterfalls and the water was so clear and pool was so deep and inviting.

But we chose the 2nd set of waterfalls as it's more secluded and it's where we're all gonna stay for the night. So we had to continue trekking to the upper part of the mountain.  It's kinda sloppy so you need to be very careful.

Further up the trail was the 3rd set of waterfalls. Most of them went there, but I decided to stay. Yeah! It was indeed tiresome to those people like me, who isn't used to hiking and walking for long hours, but I tell you, it was really fun!!

Anyways, entrance fee at Kawasan was 100 pesos each and the room located at the 2nd set of falls was for 800 pesos only, good for 6-8  persons. We were 16 in total, so the boys had to sacrifice and stay at the cottages outside.  Good grief! ☻ You were all gentlemen! ☻

No one went swimming at night already. Although the night was serene and you can feel the hush of the waterfalls and its cool breeze, we all jammed up for dinner and drank 'til we drop ☻
The next day was full of thrill and excitement! Woke up early morning, went swimming all day and rented the bamboo raft for, I think, 200 pesos only. That will lead you around the clear waters even  to the foot of the waterfalls and you can feel the falls massaging your body as you go nearer. You can also rent life vests for safety purposes.

Although not much activities can be done on the place, Kawasan falls and the surrounding scenery are indeed a perfect place for you to relax with family and friends! It's all worth it!
